Honey Glazed Pimento Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 pound raw peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp Baron’s Green Seasoning
  • 3 tbsp Home Choice Jamaican Ginger Flavoring
  • 10 allspice (pimento seed) crushed
  • 1 tsp Dave’s Guyanese Hot Pepper Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 2 wedges of lime or lemon
  • Fresh cilantro for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Rinse 1 pound of shrimp and pat dry with a paper towel. Transfer the shrimp to a clean bowl.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together Baron’s Green Seasoning, Home Choice Jamaican Ginger Flavoring, garlic, honey, and Dave’s Hot Pepper Sauce, then pour half of it over the shrimp and toss to coat.
  3. Heat a large cast iron skillet on medium-high heat. Once hot, add the avocado oil and spread the shrimp in an even layer.
  4. Cook the shrimp 2 to 3 minutes before turning and pouring in half of the remaining honey glaze. Continue to turn the shrimp which should be caramelizing, thickening and sticking to the shrimp. Add the remaining sauce and continue cooking the shrimp until opaque and fully cooked.
  5. To serve, squeeze the lime or lemon over the plated shrimp  and sprinkle with minced fresh cilantro.
